Wish me luck

Today is my first day of substitute teaching....Tift County HS. Luckily, it's for the foreign language teacher that teaches German and Spanish....and I've been both places. Unfortunately, I didn't pick up much of either language.

Things went pretty well for my first time subbing. I had 3 blocks at TCHS to cover, 1 German & 2 Spanish classes. Students were well mannered overall, though a couple of them late in the day tried to pull off playing poker in class which ended pretty quickly. Then they decided video games on the school computer were more acceptable, expecially with a sub. That too ended and they resumed their assigned tasks without further incident. I'm scheduled at the Northeast campus next Friday and expect now that I know how things are supposed to work, it will go well too.
